Arlène Elizabeth Casimir is a Brooklyn-based author, educator, herbalist, healer, and leader. She went to Sarah Lawrence College for Writing and she has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology & Education with a Concentration in Spirituality, Mind, Body Practices from Teachers College, Columbia University. As a first-generation, Haitian-American, Arlène leverages her experiences and expertise to help others live with personal integrity and author their own lives. She has spent the last 15 years honing her practice and research. Arlène goes by "the awakened teacher.” She is the CEO and Founder of two ventures that honor her Haitian ancestral lineage. Her book “Trauma Responsive Pedagogy: Teaching for Healing and Transformation” was released in May 2023. Arlène’s picture book “Back Home: Story time with My Father” was released in May 2024. Arlène pampers her inner child, travels, and spends time with her loved ones when she is not using her gifts and talents to create and serve.
