I am a retired Detective Sergeant, having dealt with all serious crime during my Police career, whilst serving with the South Wales Police. I am married with two grown up children, my son Christopher is a serving police officer in South Wales, and my daughter Karen is a Managing Creative Director, of 1HQ brand agency. Karen has been living and working in Singapore for the past ten years. I enjoy all sports, and love writing poetry, relating to Coal Mining and The First World War. 'UNETHICAL CONDUCT' was my first attempt at writing a fictional book, encompassing Criminal investigation, without pulling any punches. I decided from the off set to use known locations in the Force area in order that readers would be able to identify with the cities, towns and villages. I never meant for the book to be published, it was a bucket list wish to be honest, however I was encouraged to publish by my good friend, and now co-author Nigel Williams. Nigel assisted me with the format of the book, etc. After 'UNETHICAL CONDUCT' was self published on Amazon, Nigel and I began writing together, and we've just finished the 9th book 'RAVEN' in the Terry McGuire Series. From the February 2016 up until May 2018, all the Royalties for the series of Terry McGuire Thrillers was donated to 'The Marie Curie Cancer Trust' and 'The Garnwen Trust, Maesteg, who shared approximately £2.000. In July 2018 Nigel and I signed a publishing contract with "WORDCATCHER PUBLISHING" in relation to 'The Terry McGuire' Thriller series, and also my poetry books on 'Coal Mining', 'First World War' and '50 Famous People'. I have my own Facebook Poetry Group' titled 'Arthur's Poems and Anecdotes' which is a public group, so anyone can view and join.
