Tokyo is a long way from the shirtless, shoeless childhood in the hot Florida sun. Educated in a traditional, mediocre school system, Ash Geary left high school with a general feeling of being slower than those around him. Rather than accepting the status quo as his fate, he began to read and self-learn fanatically. He read dictionaries. Then he devoured higher subjects like physics, biology, human psychology and programming. He taught himself to design and found himself doing what he loved, creating everything from t-shirts to flyers, web banners to corporate websites. In time, he found that he craved ever greater challenges in increasingly enormous cities. He drove from Atlanta to San Francisco and later flew to Tokyo to face his biggest challenge yet — married with two children and learning how to survive well in a very exotic city. Ash now understands that life is a constant game of catch-up, and wants to share what he has learned over the years about getting good at anything, fast! His current challenges are growing his creative strategy agency, learning to play guitar, and being the best father and husband he can be.
