I was born in England but have lived in California for most of my adult life. After a successful career as a nurse practitioner, which included writing for professional journals, I am now focused on creative writing. My work has appeared in journals such as Mud Season Review, The Forge Literary Magazine, Ars Medica, The Copperfield Review and Stoneboat. My debut novel “When It’s Over” was published 2017, and won the IBPA Ben Franklin Silver Medal in historical fiction. My second novel, "Unswerving," set in contemporary California, from the University of Wisconsin Press now available.
