Barry hails from Philadelphia and built a career with a prominent international accounting firm, taking him to New York, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco before a new chapter brought him to Finland. He and his Finnish wife adopted two daughters from China, and their family lived in Helsinki for twelve years before he returned to the U.S., now calling Florida home. Barry’s literary work blends satire, history, and whimsy. Known for his Trump satires, including “The Weave”, he’s earned three gold medals for his sharp wit. His curiosity also led to “Lessons from the Sidewalk”, a playful journey where historical icons mingle with everyday items, and “Dostoevsky’s Borscht”, an inventive mashup of history, culture, and cuisine. Barry’s most recent works reveal a thoughtful turn: “Tears of the Titans” examines the regrets of historical icons, while “Voices of the Civil War” brings an immersive, personal lens to this tumultuous period. With a knack for balancing wit and insight, Barry’s writing invites readers to explore history from new, intimate perspectives.
