My Journey as a Chronicler of Life
Born in 1957, I consider myself an open-minded chronicler of life – shaped by travels, cultural encounters, and the stories entrusted to me by people from diverse backgrounds. My own experiences, particularly living in various cultures, deeply influence my works. These experiences are reflected in my books, which combine entertainment with insights to inspire courage and open new perspectives. I am particularly fascinated by how people overcome challenges – a theme at the heart of many of my works, where authenticity always takes precedence over a supposed balance.
Whether during my travels or in everyday life, decades of in-depth research and writing across various genres have granted me profound insights into human nature and the often-invisible connections that shape our lives.
Collaborative Writing with My Granddaughter
Writing has been a central part of my life for many years. However, a special joy for me is working alongside my granddaughter. She is my inspiration and muse in creating children’s books.
Our joint project, The A-Team – The Missing Christmas Star, tells a story of friendship, courage, and the small wonders we encounter in everyday life. In Fritzi, the Girl Who Didn’t Want to Go to School, we playfully convey the power of friendship and the value of positive affirmations to children. Through stories like these, we aim to encourage young readers to trust themselves and find creative solutions to everyday challenges.
The World of Nonfiction and Crime Novels
My nonfiction books are born out of a passion for deep research, which often immerses me in new thematic worlds. This work, for example, led to my book Between Risk and Thrill: The Darkness of Gambling, which explores societal and psychological dimensions. The research also inspired my fact-based crime novel, The Mafia Paradox: In the Shadow of the Gambling Cartel.
In all my books – whether nonfiction or crime fiction – my goal is to provide guidance. They offer pathways out of personal crises, help with difficult decisions, and encourage readers to recognize and utilize their own resources. With clear structures and practical approaches, I strive to inspire my readers to tackle challenges from new perspectives and make well-informed decisions.
More Than Just a Writer
For me, writing is more than just an activity – it is my calling. It allows me to organize ideas, share thoughts, and give others the opportunity to connect with my insights and stories. I write to inspire, entertain, and offer perspectives that enrich us all.
Life as a Journey
My motto in life is: "No staircase is endless, neither upward nor downward." This belief accompanies me on every step of my journey – whether in writing, traveling, or engaging with others. Every challenge carries the potential for growth and new discoveries.
