Inspiration first struck Brenda English when she learned to read as a first grader and then realized that someone also was writing those Dick and Jane adventures. Since then, she has spent more than 35 years as a working writer, editor and communications professional and in a constant state of astonishment that she gets paid to do what she loves. A native of southeast Georgia, Brenda earned a journalism degree in radio-TV-film history and production from the University of Georgia. Her career has included working as a news reporter both in television and at newspapers in Florida and Michigan; managing publications for the largest healthcare system in the Washington, D.C. area; working as a senior editor for the book-publishing arm of a not-for-profit organization; handling media relations for one of the country’s largest public school systems; and managing communications teams for a Fortune 500 company as well as a non-profit, state-mandated corporation. In addition, Brenda is the author of the three-book Sutton McPhee mystery series published by Berkley Prime Crime: • Corruption of Faith • Corruption of Justice • Corruption of Power and co-author of The Intuitive Heart: Using Your Intuition for Guidance and Healing, which she wrote with Henry Reed, Ph.D., an internationally renowned expert on dreams, intuition, parapsychology and creativity. Brenda lives in Florida with her family.
