Brian Sonia-Wallace is the 4th Poet Laureate of the City of West Hollywood, the latest in a string of unlikely poetic residencies ranging from Amtrak to the Mall of America. He’s been writing poems for strangers on the street since 2012 and is the author of The Poetry of Strangers ("full of optimism and wide-eyed wonder...he charms us" - The New York Times). Brian has been published in The Guardian, LitHub, and Rolling Stone, and has been profiled by NPR. He teaches at UCLA Writers' Extension and is the Manager of Education for Get Lit - Words Ignite.
