Bryan Porter is the elected prosecutor for the City of Alexandria, Virginia, a mid-sized, historic city located just outside of Washington, D.C. Bryan put himself through law school by working the midnight shift as an Alexandria police officer. He served as a police officer for over 5 years before being hired as an assistant prosecutor. Bryan has prosecuted thousands of serious cases and directed over 50 jury trials. With two decades of law enforcement experience, Bryan provides an insider’s, real-world perspective on how criminal cases are investigated and prosecuted. In his spare time, Bryan pursues his hobbies of sailing, rock guitar and crafting the perfect Manhattan. He once appeared on Jeopardy!, losing to a woman who writes books about talking, magical cats. Bryan has also authored a Waldorf Children’s book, Kit Dreamer and the Case of the Unlucky Lemur, which is scheduled for release in October 2019.
