A mother of five daughters, who she affectionately calls the "Barbs", C. Darayl works in the public sector and is a lover of R&B music, especially from the 90's. C.Darayl also loves to blog and wrote and edited for SpreadDaWord.com for a number of years before shutting it down to focus on raising her family. In her spare time, she writes African American Literature, with urban and romance themes. She coined the term "real-life' fiction to describe her work because readers will find that her novels hit close to home. Her debut, BabyGirl: the Novel (2019) was her entre into the publishing world. Soon after she released a collection of poems, "Not Yet: Poems for Life Lived Along the Way" (2020). "Tell Me Something Good" is her latest novel available in e-book and paperback formats.
