C. J. Cannatelli (Cayden James Cannatelli) was born on February 13th, 1994 in Meriden, Connecticut. She has no siblings, but was raised in a large Puerto Rican family and has many cousins who she loves as brothers and sisters. She wrote her first short story at the age of four. She is always fascinated by all things strange, macabre and disturbing. Throughout her early years, her teachers wanted her to skip grades while her parents worried about her inability to socialize. Therefore, she graduated high school in 2012. Inspired by horror masters R. L. Stine, Stephen King, Vincent Vena Cava, C. K. Walker and many others, she began writing her first horror novel (The Steiner House) in 2006. Throughout all of her years in high school, she worked on what would become a saga containing four books. C. J. Cannatelli graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University in 2016. She was also inducted into the International Honor Society of Psychology (Psi Chi). Due to mental illness and fear, C. J. hid her work instead of publishing right away. For years, she lived her life thinking her books would be the worst ones on the market. After publishing in 2016, C. J. felt emboldened to continue doing what she loves. She loves to weave disturbing tales; some fictional and some very real. Many of her short internet urban legends (creepypasta) have been performed by celebrity narrators on the dark side of YouTube. C. J. Cannatelli continues her journey to write the most heinous things you can imagine. She currently resides in Wallingford, Connecticut and continues to write horror while doing an occasional fundraiser for charity.
