Celesta Rimington is the author of magical middle grade books including THE ELEPHANT'S GIRL, winner of the 2020 Reading the West Book Award. Celesta’s books have been Junior Library Guild selections, finalists for the AML award, and recognized on several state library association and readers’ choice lists. Her forthcoming novel REACH releases in January 2026 from Nancy Paulsen Books. Celesta's experiences with loss, a blended military family, and her faith upbringing as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints often influence her books' themes of seeking and finding family, community, and belonging. Celesta holds a degree in social psychology and has presented to over 23,000 students, empowering them to write their own stories. She's lived in nearly every region of the United States, currently resides in Utah with her family, and enjoys acting, boxing, and exploring the wonders of nature.
