From my working-class roots in an industrial northern town in England, I achieved my goal of becoming the youngest partner in a top national law firm within 10 years of finishing college. Just nine months after making partner I left my high-profile legal career to start my first successful business - helping organizations and individuals be more fear-less, more authentic, and ultimately achieving their goals faster. A ten year detour followed, which was really just the long way around to finding myself again. During that adventure, I took increasing risks, seeking greater rewards and global recognition in an attempt to silence my relentless inner critic. That journey took me around the world and saw me taking roles as diverse as Head of Connected Life for McCann Erickson in New York, becoming the Senior Executive of a Private Equity Fund in San Francisco and founding a number of technology start-ups. That detour led to an incident that has shaped my life since. I almost ended my life. As self-destructive as that sounds, it triggered an awakening in me that radically shifted my thinking, my relationships and released me from the suffering that had pushed me to despair. The day I almost ended my life was the day I began a journey of learning to 'do' less and 'be' more. This has resulted in me living with more joy, more gratitude and a more profound sense of purpose than I could ever have imagined. I am also learning to experience life with more equanimity, hope and curiosity founded in a practice that centers around reconnecting with who I truly am, re-connecting with others and reconnecting with my place in the universe. I call it 'Being, more'. Bringing more of me to the present moment. And much of what I've learned, along with a raft of coaching tools, techniques and strategies, are now the foundation of my clients’ success. Clients that include Fortune 500 members, Global brands, Government Agencies, Technology Start-ups and many remarkable and inspiring people. I am dad to 4 amazing kids and am married to the most incredible woman. We've recently moved from Florida to New York and are grateful to now enjoy all four seasons! I travel a lot, and appreciate spending significant time in London, Los Angeles, and Miami and I have to pinch myself every now and then because I get to write, speak and coach all over the world on how to Be, More...
