Before she began writing full-time, Cheryl Schuermann devoted her professional career to literacy education as a classroom teacher, consultant, and curriculum trainer in schools across the United States. Now an award-winning author, Cheryl loves her writing life. Her debut devotional, Farmhouse Devotions: God’s Glory in the Ordinary, released in May 2024 from Bold Vision Books. Stan Schuermann provided the farm-inspired illustrations. The book quickly hit #1 on Amazon in Christian Faith and enjoyed several days as a Best Seller in the Faith category. Farmhouse Devotions was recently named the Golden Scrolls 2024 Devotional Book of the Year by Advanced Writers and Speakers Association. Cheryl's published books include the award-winning parenting book Raising Kids for Tomorrow’s World:12 Keys to Preserving the Faith, co-authored with Stan Schuermann, and When the Water Runs: Growing Up With Alaska, a work of creative nonfiction. She is currently writing articles and resources for parents and grandparents as well as a farm-inspired children's devotional. Cheryl is a president in Word Weavers International and a member of Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA), and Christian Authors Network/CIPA. In addition to writing, she facilitates a caregiver support group in her community. For more than twenty-five years, she and her husband have mentored and taught parents in their local church. Cheryl spends as much time as possible with her large family, the inspiration and source of her many stories.
