Daniel O’Connor is an adjunct professor of philosophy and religion at a State University of New York Community College, where he has taught for seven years. For over a decade serving as an educator, he is honored to have instructed thousands of students in courses on philosophy, existentialism, Catholic catechesis, comparative religion, mathematics, physics, and more. Originally a mechanical engineer, Daniel’s first job after graduating RPI (Rensselaer) had him running hightech experiments at the GE Global Research headquarters aimed at achieving breakthroughs in carbonnanotube-based quantum electron emissions. There, he ran a test resulting in a world record, but realized—after defending the right to life on a radio show debate later that same day—that he could do infinitely more good for the world by speaking up for the truth than by contributing to the world's technological advancement. After a powerful GE manager informed Daniel he must promise to never again speak about religion at work, Daniel quit on the spot. In 2013, Daniel obtained a master’s degree in Philosophical Theology from a Catholic college and seminary in Connecticut, and has been teaching ever since. He has thus far completed several years of post-master's studies towards his PhD in Philosophy at the University at Albany. Daniel is the author of several books, including Thy Will Be Done. He writes for his personal website, where his books, talks, videos, and other works may be found. Daniel lives in New York with his wife, Regina, and their five children, Joseph, David, Mary, Luisa, and John Paul.
