For 25 years, David Maginley provided psychospiritual care for the cancer, palliative and intensive care units at a major Canadian hospital. It's a place he knows well, having survived a rare cancer four times. One of these led to a near-death experience, which changed the course of his life and his understanding of reality, consciousness and our human journey. He knows what it’s like to have cancer from both sides of the hospital bed and has a sense of this life from both sides of the veil. Now in private practice, David is an ordained Lutheran minister who practices non-duality. He is a board member of the International Association for Near-Death Studies and a specialist with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care. He is featured in the "When You Die" documentary trilogy. David is also an avid photographer, using the camera as a tool for self-psychology and conducting workshops on creativity and spirituality. David lectures internationally on meaning in suffering, the wisdom of grief, mindfulness, death and dying, compassion fatigue and integrative spirituality.
