David and Aimee Thurlo were married for forty-three years before her death in 2014. Aimee had moved in next door to him and it was love at first sight. Three weeks later, they were married. David was raised on the Navajo Indian Reservation and left Shiprock to complete his education at the University of New Mexico. Aimee, born in Havana, Cuba, had lived in New Mexico for forty-four years. The Thurlos learned to write as a team, though they also enjoyed throwing all kinds of projectiles at each other. They've ceased to buy breakables. They believe in recycling. Fortunately, David was good at ducking, and Aimee couldn't pitch. The Thurlos wrote romantic suspense for Harlequin Intrigue, are award winners and the authors of the Ella Clah mysteries, Sister Agatha series, and the Lee Nez vampire novels. Their last work together resulted in the two trading post books, A TIME OF CHANGE, and LOOKING THROUGH DARKNESS. David is now working on book three, ROB THY NEIGHBOR, in his new Charlie Henry mystery series, scheduled for publication by Minotaur in August, 2016 . The second title. GRAVE CONSEQUENCES, is a 2014 finalist for the New Mexico-Arizona Book Award in the Mystery-Suspense category. The Thurlos' novels, translated into many different languages, are available around the world in most formats, including ebooks.
