Dianne Moritz. a former psychometrist (Washburn Child Guidance Center) and teacher (K-3, in Los Angeles Unified School District) first began writing as a child and wrote poetry and stories for use in the classroom. Over 500 stories, poems, crafts, and action rhymes have been published in children's magazines, including Babybug, Ladybug, Humpty Dumpty, and others. She is a frequent contributor to Highlights HELLO & HIGH FIVE magazines. Her first book, SANTA LIVES, a holiday gift book, was published by Peter, Pauper Press. Her picture book, HUSH, LITTLE BEACHCOMBER, was sold to Kane Miller in 2010. Paperback rights have been acquired by Big Belly Books Co. and it's slated for reissue in a brand new edition. 1, 2, 3 BY THE SEA, her best selling counting book, is also from Kane Miller. It appeared on "the best book list, 2014" compiled by Bank Street College, is in reprints, and has its own facebook page. Dianne, now retired, writes poetry and picture books for kids full-time. She has several completed manuscripts ready for publication. Adult poems and memoir pieces have appeared in many websites, including The Drabble, Better Than Starbucks, 101 Words, and others.
