donalee is a professional writer from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her articles and short stories have appeared in over 100 publications across North America, including Canadian Business, Chatelaine, Equinox, Ford Times, Maclean’s, The Globe and Mail, and The National Post. She is an award winning author. Her book Conflagration! won the 2024 Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Historical Mystery Suspense. This gripping historical novel is woven around the trial of Marie-Joseph Angélique, an enslaved black woman accused of deliberately setting the devastating fire that destroyed much of Montreal's merchant quarters in 1734. Her most recent mystery novel is based in a yoga studio. Bind is like coming home to a steaming bowl of tomato soup on a cold winter day. Comfortable and delicious. Like a perfect downward dog.
