I have lived on two continents and traveled further, but these days my writer window looks out on Austin, Texas, where mockingbirds perch in the topmost tree branches and warble their songs to the day. I am a biographer, and occasional poet and blogger. In "The Story of Baha'u'llah: Promised One of All Religions" I use the techniques of fiction to tell a true story, which makes it part of the compelling genre called creative nonfiction. I appreciate hearing from readers – how "The Story of Baha’u’llah" connects with you and any questions you may have. If you like it, write a short review! I invite you to peruse my website at druzellecederquist(dot)com for book-related photos, videos, printable timelines, maps, and my latest blog post at http://luminousrealities.blogspot.com/. Explore the book in my online course with the Wilmette Institute: "The Bab and Baha'u'llah: Two Lives, One Story" - where you can also explore a "Closer Look at Storytelling" in a series of short videos, which draw on the storytelling qualities of the book. What else appeals to me? I love the language of poetry and that we are learning the languages of animals. I am intrigued with the science of minds, that brains change with experience, the human race evolves, and that true religion opens imagination, mind, and heart to new, undreamed-of possibilities. I have a BA in English Literature, an MA concentration in TESOL, and training as a writing workshop leader in the Amherst Writers & Artists method developed by Pat Schneider.
