Dundy is a pilot by trade. He has been flying airplanes since 1980. He graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1983 and then earned a Master's Degree in Engineering from Columbia University, NY. He flew F-16 Falcon fighter jets in Operation Desert Storm and is now a Captain for a major airline. In early 2020, right around the time Covid-19 hit, he had some extra time on his hands and discovered a hidden talent. Out of fun, he began to write Bible verses in a version now called "Dundy Style" to a friend and author Matthew Robert Payne. As this continued, Matthew liked them so much he recommended Dundy write his favorite book of the Bible, the book of James. Before this, he had never written a book. Since then Dundy has been working on several more books of the New Testament with the goal of eventually writing the whole Bible in "Dundy Style". Dundy has no formal religious training or any theological degrees. The highest position held in a church was substitute Sunday School Teacher. He has, however, studied the Bible for over three decades using a wide variety of resources. Dundy has no real answer as to how he is able to write "Dundy Style" other than it is a work of God through the Holy Spirit. He is just as surprised as anyone else who knows him. Dundy loves to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren, oh, and their dog, a mini Goldendoodle Bailey. He enjoys the beach, electric skateboarding, and has a part-time commercial embroidery business.
