Army Sniper Hall of Fame: Ed's decision to tell his story was prompted, in part, by a 2011 History Channel broadcast highlighting his experiences on the night of April 3, 1969 for which he has been recommended for the Medal of Honor. He now speaks to groups on brotherhood and changing one's self for the better, and raises funds for soldiers in overseas combat zones. Ed Eaton was raised in small towns in the Pacific Northwest, during what he describes as simpler times. Like many young men, Ed enlisted to serve in the Vietnam War, a decision that changed his life. After the war, Ed worked in careers as diverse as construction, real estate, gold mining, truck driving, ski Area management, and goldsmithing. He retired to the Oregon coast with his wife. More information about Ed is available at his website, www.EdTheSniper.com.
