Originally from West Africa, Esseboe Kwami Nyamidie is an American author. He grew up in the cocoa plantations of the Badou area in Togo. His parents migrated as refugees to Ghana where he had his early and secondary education.He attended Roman Catholic seminaries in Ghana and Benin Republic, but left after a short stint at the Major Seminary in Ouidah. Esseboe Kwami Nyamidie is a religious explorer. A life-long spiritual seeker, his spiritual journey took him to Nigeria where he worked as a secretary to Reverend S.B.J. Oshoffa, the miracle-working Founder of the Celestial Church of Christ until the Pastor's death. He later studied and taught at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He moved to the United States where he studied at the American University, Washington, DC. Esseboe Kwami Nyamidie is the author of Magnificent You (2023), I Am Your Friend (2023), and the children’s bedtime short story that Kirkus Indie Reviews described as “A visually appealing work that lap readers will want to look at again and again”. “Night Critters Play” illustrated by art consultant and print designer Pamela B. Christiansen was released in October 2021. In the summer of 2023, the English and French Audible editions of Night Critters Play were released. He is the author of “Thirst No More: A Fable of Hope and Forgiveness” (2017) illustrated by Nicole Stremlow Monahan. Kirkus Review described it as “A politically charged fable with an important message”. Nyamidie is also the author of “Ready For Your Love and Other Poems” (2004), a collection of poems about spiritual awakening and the natural world. Esseboe Kwami Nyamidie is a Spiritual Director and holds a Master of Arts degree in Transforming Spirituality from Seattle University. He lives in the Pacific Northwest where he enjoys the natural beauty of beaches, mountains, parks and gardens.
