Elizabeth Flynn is a Londoner of Anglo-Irish parentage. An ex-actress, she spent many years working as a bereavement officer in a hospital, which gave her a unique insight into working with the local coroner's officers. However, she has always written and has a particular interest in crime fiction. A keen interest in tennis gave her the setting for the first Angela Costello mystery, Game, Set and Murder, and other famous London venues and events followed. Elizabeth has now retired from hospital work and writes full-time. Photograph by John Goodman
