Ellen Flannery-Schroeder, Ph.D., ABPP is the Dr. Glenda L. Vittimberga '88 Endowed Professor of Psychology at the University of Rhode Island and a licensed psychologist specializing in parenting, childhood emotional health and well-being, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, with a special interest in childhood anxiety disorders. She graduated with a BA from Franklin and Marshall College and earned her MA in psychology from Connecticut College and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University. Dr. Flannery-Schroeder is Board Certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. She has been involved in the promotion of social and emotional health, prevention and treatment of anxiety disorders, and the use of cognitive-behavioral interventions for more than 15 years and has written numerous articles and book chapters on these topics. Dr. Flannery-Schroeder also directs the Child Anxiety Program at the University of Rhode Island, co-directs the New England Center for Anxiety in Rhode Island, and, with Dr. Chelsea Tucker, serves as co-director of High Performance Parenting. She is a mother of three children, an adventurous home cook, true crime enthusiast, keeper of two cats and six chickens, and strength training devotee.
