ORIGIN STORY: Once upon a time a little baby was born. She was born under the sign of Scorpio, which terrified nearly everyone, but they’ve learned to live with it. Her folks named her Elizabeth Holiday Dale Piersol for her two lovely great-grandmas and one badass blues singer. When she was asked by her publishers what name she wanted to use on her book, she got smart and shortened the blazes out of it. PRESENT DAY: Ellie Piersol is the author of the Mysterium Excelsum series which includes Mysterium Excelsum Unum, In Obscura Silvae, and upcoming Mysterium Excelsum Duobus. She grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and now currently lives in Omaha, Nebraska pursuing a degree in Creative Writing and English with a minor in Anthropology. When Ellie was in high school she wasn't legally required to spend much time outside her room, which allowed her to become an awesome and passionate writer. She is currently residing with her roommate Emma that has long, mermaid hair and her kitty Freddie Mercury, named for his little black mustache on his nose that looks exactly like that of Freddie Mercury of Queen. Once Ellie went paddleboarding in the ocean. As she is not athletically gifted, she is grateful to the guide for having a genuine interest in her job as an author. So, thanks, paddleboard guy!
