Emily Design has become a Cricut professional in the past few years and an author who is fast gaining recognition for her amazing work in bringing this fascinating subject to a wide and diverse audience. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, the daughter of a mother and father who were both artists, Emily grew up with creativity already in her veins and studied Creative Arts at the University of Calgary in Alberta. Following this, she worked in some of the remotest areas of Canada, living with indigenous peoples and studying their art and cultures for three years before returning to live on Vancouver Island. And it was there that Emily was first introduced to Cricut and the endless uses that it could be put to. This interest quickly developed into a hobby and soon into a business, with Emily designing and selling a wide range of unique artwork which is hugely sought after. Today, Emily continues to design and sell individual pieces of artwork while writing new books in her spare time. In her free time she paints for relaxation and enjoys walking and canoeing in the beautiful wilderness areas near her home. Emily also devotes some of her time to people with learning difficulties, helping them to get some satisfaction and fulfillment from drawing, painting and designing. She lives with her boyfriend and their dog on the shores of the Pacific Ocean and couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to live and work.
