When I was writing 'Duke', I was working as an English teacher and I had in mind my students at the time, particularly those in Years 7, 8 and 9, but also younger readers finishing primary school. I wanted to give them a story that was like the stories I used to read when I was younger, full of engaging characters and a fast-paced plot with lots of twists and turns. I'd like to think that I have come close to that with 'Duke'. Currently, I am working on a crime novel for adults. I have been reading crime stories for many years and I thought it was about time I wrote one of my own! I anticipate finishing it by spring 2020, and I will have it on Kindle as soon as it's done.
