GC Hennessey conveys a passion for exploring the intersection of nature, culture and resilience. With a background in mergers and acquisitions, GC crafts storylines centered on the bonds between the human and natural worlds. While she spent her entire career writing, The Painted Cave is her first published work of fiction. Recognized as a disruptive force wherever she was hired, GC spent the last 14 years independently working with communities. Her work and life experiences in the forests across the country inspired The Painted Cave, book one of the Legends Lost trilogy. GC spent her career working as a registered professional forester at the side of the man who would later become her husband. Together, the pair would go on to manage a land base roughly the size of the state of Maine. At the insistence of her husband, GC took a step back from her work to write about their encounters. Early investment in Bitcoin and a company named MicroStrategy allowed the couple to retire on their own terms and shed light on the foreign takeover of land and resources, across Canada and the United States, through the stories told in Legends Lost.
