Gabriel García Márquez (1927-2014) is one of the greatest authors of the 20th century, as well as the main representative of the movement known as the Boom of Latin American literature. His entourage of loyal fans and praise from the critics turned him into a literary rockstar. In 1982, he became the third author in the region to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.

His Style Gabo, as he was affectionately known, wrote chronicles, novels, plays and short stories. García Márquez is known for magical realism and realism.
