Author, consultant, educator, and speaker, Gregory P. Shea, Ph.D., is an expert in developing complex organizations and their leaders. He consults extensively with individuals, organizations, and leaders confronting leadership challenges and changes ranging from the need to grow organically to handling industry crises. The president of Shea and Associates, Inc., Greg is also adjunct professor of management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and its Aresty Institute of Executive Education, senior fellow at the Wharton School’s Center for Leadership and Change, adjunct senior fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at Wharton, and senior consultant at CFAR. Greg’s writing connects theory and practice, research and application. He has been published in the top academic journals in his fields and written award-winning books for working professionals. Greg is the co-author of Leading Successful Change: 8 Keys to Making Change Work; Your Job Survival Guide: A Manual for Thriving in Change; American Healthcare & the Consumer Experience: Four Scenarios; and The Phantom Stethoscope: A Field Manual for Finding an Optimistic Future in Medicine. His ability to explain and apply research-based best practice has led to various awards, including Wharton’s Excellence in Teaching Award. He was the academic director for the Johnson & Johnson/Wharton Program for Health System CEOs and served for 14 years as academic director for the Johnson & Johnson/Wharton Fellows Program for Nurse Executives, considered to be the most prestigious healthcare executive education programming in the country for executive nurse leaders. A Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard College, Greg holds an M.Sc. in Management Studies from the London School of Economics as well as an M.A., M. Phil., and Ph.D. in Administrative Science from Yale University. He is also a member of the Academy of Management and the American Psychological Association.
