A survivor of exploitation turned UCLA Alumna of the Year, Harmony has dedicated her life to helping women and girls break free from cycles of abuse and exploitation. As the founder of Treasures—a survivor-led, trauma-informed organization serving those exploited and trafficked in the commercial sex industry—she has become a leading voice in the anti-trafficking movement. Backed by lived-experience, a Master’s in Social Work, and over two decades of fieldwork, Harmony speaks on trauma recovery, exploitation in the digital age, and evidence-based strategies for healing and empowerment. Her message resonates with both survivors and the professionals who serve them. Harmony’s advocacy has led to Congressional recognition and opportunities to train the Department of Justice, FBI, and service providers worldwide. Her memoir Scars and Stilettos chronicles her journey through abuse, exploitation under the control of a pimp, and ultimately, transformation. She also created Free to Thrive, a comprehensive, survivor-centered curriculum that guides women on a path toward healing, self-discovery, and restored identity.
