Having been brought up on a farm in the Essex countryside, J.E. Narracott had a love for animals, especially her horse Sam, who is one of the main characters in her story. The inclusion of magic comes from her fascination with fantasy books and films. Okay, she has a weakness for superheroes, especially Superman. Having worked as a TA in a middle school until her retirement, one of her joys was reading to and with children. Now she reads to her grandchildren.
