James Delbourgo teaches History at Rutgers University and was Visiting Professor of History of Science at Harvard in 2016. He has written for the Los Angeles Review of Books, The Atlantic and Cabinet Magazine. His previous book “A Most Amazing Scene of Wonders: Electricity and Enlightenment in Early America” (2006) won the Thomas J. Wilson Memorial Prize. “Collecting the World” (2017) was named Book of the Week in The Guardian, The Times, the Daily Mail and The Week.
