As an expert in family relations and sex education, Dr. Janet Rosenzweig shares the most important lessons parents must teach their children and offers tools and support to help them do so. Her credentials are experiences over the last 4 decades have given her important insights which she translates into easily understandable and relatable resources for parents Education: Dr. Rosenzweig holds a BS in Family Studies and an MS in Health Education from The Pennsylvania State University. She earned certification as a sex educator and in 1978 brought that perspective to one of the first CAPTA- funded child sexual abuse programs. She earned a PhD in social work from Rutgers University, then an MPA from Harvard. Work: Dr. Rosenzweig managed child welfare programs in Tennessee and Texas before moving to NJ where she founded one of the first County Commissions on Child Abuse in NJ, and served for nine years as the cabinet level Mercer County Director of Human Services. Dr. Rosenzweig left government to join Prevent Child Abuse -NJ and served as Executive Director from 2001 - 2007. She went on to become Vice President of Prevent Child Abuse - America, The Executive Director of The American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, then a Senior Policy Analyst for The Institute for Human Services and a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania. She can continuously and the while traveled the country teaching and consulting with communities to promote the sexual health and safety of children. She is the author of number articles in peer-reviewed journals and The Sex-Wise Parent: The Parent's Guide Protecting Your Child, Strengthening Your Family, and Talking to Kids about Sex, Abuse, and Bullying, (Skyhorse Publishing, 2012) a consultant for non-profit organizations. . D. Rosenzweig is in demand as a speaker for both professional training events and conferences as well as for community events for parents. Presentations are booked through the American Program Bureau.
