Jason James King likes to say he’s a lover, not a fighter—but, truth be told, he’s not particularly skilled at either. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, he was shaped by the unholy trinity of 16-bit consoles, anime, junk food, and tabletop games (yes, that’s four things, but who's counting?). Jason is happily married (sorry, ladies) to an amazing woman and is the proud father of four incredible children from a previous marriage. He lives for great stories, big laughs, and good food—not always in that order, and sometimes all at once, though that has led to a few near-death choking incidents. As the author of multiple fantasy novels and a crime thriller, Jason is a familiar face at comic and writing conventions. He is a grateful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently serves as the President of Immortal Works Press.
