Stetson is an internationally acclaimed award-winning playwright and screenwriter for film and television. His play, "The Meeting," has been produced in all fifty states and over a dozen countries. It was adapted for American Playhouse and served as the inspiration for "MLK/K" the Genius limited series on Disney+, Hulu, & National Geographic, broadcast beginning February 1, 2024. His novel "Blood on the Leaves" was an Essence best-seller and was adapted for Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx at Paramount Studios and adapted as a limited series for Morgan Freeman's company. His next novel, "The Stolen Girls," is scheduled for publication February 9th, 2024, to be followed in May by his third novel published by Storm Publishing. He was the former Dean for Faculty and Staff Affairs and Director of Public Affairs and University Relations at California State University. He served as the Whitney Young Jr. Doctoral Fellowship at Boston University. He served as a writing mentor at Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute and Professor at the Theater Arts and Dance Department at California State University, Los Angeles where he taught creative writing for stage, film, and television. He also taught the first Professional Workshop for African American Screenwriters established by Bill and Camille Cosby at the USC School of Cinema-Television and was a visiting Professor, Writing for Theater, Film & Television Workshop for the Florida Center for the Literary Arts at Miami Dade College.
