Jeffrey Michael Bays holds a Master of Arts in Cinema Studies from La Trobe University, Australia and was an adjunct instructor at Lights Film School. He is best known for writing and producing the award-winning radio satire "Not From Space" (2003) on SiriusXM. This pioneering audio production was recently listed by Time Out magazine as among the top five essential radio plays of all time. Jeffrey was born and raised in mid-Missouri to parents from the US Navy, and was a member of Civil Air Patrol for eight years where he was a Cadet Lieutenant Colonel. For several years he worked in small-town radio producing commercials using his comedic character voices. Being from the Midwest gives him a homespun sense of humor, but at the same time a pioneering drive to reach beyond and find new ideas to explore. After the first SiriusXM radio broadcast, he journeyed to Australia to make his first feature film, "Offing David." It was this homage to Alfred Hitchcock which inadvertently launched Jeffrey as an expert on suspense techniques, becoming known by many as the "Hitchcock Whisperer." Jeffrey produced the collaborative "Hitch20" docu-series exploring Hitchcock's twenty works of TV, and wrote two filmmaking books: "Between the Scenes" and "Suspense With a Camera. He is a contributor to MovieMaker Magazine, LA Screenwriter, and has taught master classes worldwide, including places like Los Angeles, Atlanta, Toronto, St. Louis, Palm Springs, Boulder, Buffalo, Santa Cruz, and Bern.
