She has is a former board member of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and Association for Talent Development, the leading organization for talent professionals globally, and has served on the Advisory Boards of 30+ ed-tech, HR-tech, health-tech and work-tech companies. Jenny began her career as a teacher, going on to earn degrees from American River College, UC Berkeley, Stanford University, and San José State. Standing in a classroom and translating complex information for diverse learners is what shaped her enduring passion for clarity, communication, and inclusion. Over time, she realized that she could drive broader impact by shaping systems beyond the classroom. This foundational chapter informs her work to this day: building systems that make human growth and business success not just compatible, but built in. Jenny’s newest book, The Insight-Driven Leader (co-authored with Kelly Rider), offers a practical framework to align people strategy with business goals, design systems that reflect lived employee experiences, and communicate insights in ways that influence executive decision-making. What sets Jenny apart is her ability to connect data to the human experience. She believes that the most powerful insights in HR come not just from metrics, but from meaning. Jenny uses data to reveal employee realities, drive equity, and build intentional, resilient workplace cultures. HR professionals turn to her for guidance on how to become not just service providers, but strategic architects of their organizations’ future. A champion of neurodiversity and inclusion, Jenny also brings a deeply human perspective to her work. Diagnosed with dyslexia, ADHD, and OCD at 18, she’s been open about how her own neurodivergence shaped her resilience and creativity. This perspective fuels her passion for designing equitable systems and mentoring leaders who lead with empathy and clarity. At Actionable Analytics Group, she works with companies to design leadership development journeys grounded in data and real-world impact. Whether coaching HR teams, advising executives, or speaking at global conferences, Jenny equips professionals with the insight to drive change, not just react to it. For professionals navigating constant change, Jenny’s thought leadership is both reassuring and revolutionary. She understands that technology is evolving moment to moment, not year to year, and helps organizations keep pace by building cultures that are agile and adaptable by design. In a world where technology evolves faster than policy and culture, Jenny Dearborn is a trusted guide for HR professionals navigating the future of work. She challenges the status quo, asks bold questions, and inspires others to lead with both precision and heart. In a field that can often feel reactive, Jenny offers a proactive vision. That proactivity is the foundation which builds workplaces people want to be a part of. For HR professionals who want to future-proof their leadership, Jenny’s work is essential reading.
