American author, songwriter, and recording artist Jerry W Martin was born in Baxter Springs, Kansas. After several moves, his family settled in Wichita, Kansas. Jerry and a friend taught themselves how to play the guitar at age thirteen. In the late 60s, he joined the rock band, The Oracles, achieving regional fame. Jerry continues writing and recording original songs as a one-man band, singing lead and background vocals and playing drums, bass, and guitar. For a list of all his songs, visit www.jerrywmartin.com. From birth, Jerry struggled with dyslexia, a bicuspid aortic heart valve, and mild hearing loss. Reading was challenging. In the sixties, there was little assistance for students with dyslexia in public schools. Jerry joined the U.S. Navy after high school serving four years. During his time in the Navy, he focused on his reading skills. With dyslexia, Jerry learned early that he had to focus harder, study longer, and over-prepare to attain academically. Dyslexia instilled in him that determination drives his success. After his tour with the Navy ended, Jerry developed his reading skills and entered college. While working for fortune five hundred companies in corporate America, he earned three degrees. The highest is an MBA earned at the University of Dallas Graduate School of Management program. During his time in college, his interest and drive to be a writer struck his creative nature. A few years after graduating with an MBA, Jerry returned to the University of Dallas as a journalist for the Dallas University newspaper for a semester publishing several articles. After the semester, he began writing his first novel. After years of resource and writing, the Triangulum five-book series is complete. Jerry is writing a new mystery series.
