Jim Hornickel was born in Brooklyn, NY and after living in Upstate NY, California, Washington State and Saudi Arabia, he now lives with his wife in Western, MA. Jim's B.A in Management was earned at U-Mass, Amherst. Jim wrote "Managing From the Inside Out" after managing over 500 people in his 25 years in a number of industries. His growing experience within the field covered large corporations and small businesses, for profit and not-for-profit, union and non-union environments. More recently, Jim published "Negotiating Success" which is a sought after text used in negotiation skills training courses throughout the US. Jim is also co-founder of the Negotiations Training Institute found at www.negotiationstraininginstitute.com which leads transformational negotiation skills training events globally. Jim participated in Vermont College's Masters program in Non-Fiction Writing and combines his love of the written word with his passion for deepening positive relationships between all people, particularly employees. He added to his professional skills through certificates in Life and Relationship Coaching, Transpersonal Psychology Counseling and Mediation. Jim is eclectic in his writing with 4 books, many, many songs, poems, humorous memoirs and one-frame cartoons to his credit. His Children's book is "The Boy Who Lassoed the Stars" and his Personal Growth work is "Living From the Inside Out." Jim is currently working on his fourth book, "The Little Book of Centric".
