MALLOY BIO jimmalloy-author.com Jim lived and sailed on the H.M.S. Dolphin, a three-masted barquentine. Square rigged, she flew eleven sails and bore four deck cannons, two swivel guns, and a bow chaser. She is a scaled version of the original Dolphin under the command of Captain Wallice who discovered Tahiti before Captain Cook. He owned a private island in the Bahamas and a museum for Privateers and pirates. Jim Lived and sailed throughout the Bahamas, Indies, and Jamaica and it was these quiet times at sea where Raptor's Revenge was imagined. I IF YOU LIKE HARD-BOILED DETECTIVE, MALLOY’S GOT IT IN SPADES Hold onto your hat as Malloy attacks the dark side of the human condition . Captain Malloy, a police captain and a hard-back big-city cop of twenty-eight years, commanded two divisions and Swat where he assigned and formed special teams of officers to solve various police problems. It was during this time that his future novels started percolating and taking shape. After graduating from the FBI academy where he studied criminal profiling and serial murders, he created the infamous “Doom Squad” led by Sgt. Jack Delaney. The “Doom Squad” handled the “Groaners”, hard crimes that ruffled political feathers or caused too much heat. Delaney’s squad of seven top cops hunt serial killers like a pack of hounds on a bunny. Zero pity. For twenty-five years, Jim owned Centurion Information Association (C.I.A.), a private investigative agency in San Diego where current cases provide fodder for more Delaney “Doom Squad” adventures.
