John McCarthy is a visionary entrepreneur proving to disrupt the status quo of how people look at success. John established his first nonprofit while in college to help students further their self-awareness through retreat. Since then, his passion is to disciple individuals towards self-discovery around how they are made, who made them and how to find purpose at work and in life. At age 24, John launched AGI Management, a recruitment firm focused on changing the landscape of the hospitality industry, an industry noted for turnover, by placing GREAT managers with only GREAT employers. Management is well known as a head hugging firm, not head hunting, due to the counter-intuitive methodology of recruiting managers by encouraging them to gain self-awareness prior to changing careers. Through the 14 years of growing AGI Management to be a top agency in their niche, John’s developed passion to walk with job seekers towards a more thorough career-seeking process. John embraces the urgency to curb the disengaged workforce in America by giving a proven process through his books, speaking and training. John’s leadership and expertise have equipped him with a platform to change the paradigm of how Americans look at work. As an Executive Board member of the Cincinnati YMCA, At Work on Purpose and Neighborhoods Embracing Transformation, John’s influence is measurable. John has founded five FATHERS groups to help disciple men to be better husbands and fathers. He has launched and leads an All Pro Dad Chapter at the local Public School and coached over a dozen sports teams in the last ten years. His reputation as a man for others gains him favor and trust essential to the process of discipling that The Purpose Promise outlines. His local impact will be leveraged to gain the voice necessary to change the paradigm of the career counseling industry. John’s wife and three awesome children reside in Cincinnati where they enjoy having fun, investing in the community, playing sports, local theatre and making new friends.
