Being born in New Jersey, I realized at an early age I could either become a petty criminal or an artist. Since I don't have the personality to be a criminal (I'd spend too much time apologizing to my victims) I thought it would be better to try the world of the arts. Plus my childhood idols were Fred Astaire and Jerry Lewis. With that kind of inspiration there's no telling what might result. What that eventually led to was my attending the North Carolina School of the Arts and majoring in Acting. Yes, there really is a college degree in Acting. Who knew. Upon graduating NCSA I spent the next twenty years as a performing artist, working in films, televsion and stage. But I rapidly realized that I much preferred the idea of creating the stories, rather than simply being a participant in them, so I began writing screenplays, a form I was familiar with. I managed to have a few optioned but, as is typical in that business, they languished in "development hell" and eventually suffered a quiet death. Meanwhile I was turning my attention to what I call "narrative fiction". It had the distinct advantage that the work, once recorded, was essentially complete, as opposed to "dramatic fiction" in the form of a stage or screenplay, which is only done once its been fed through numerous other ego-supported hands, such as actors, directors, designers, etc. and emerged as some other media than print. I had begun using narrative format doing short stories while I was at NCSA, and decided I had some ideas that required quite a few more pages to unfold. I primarily write science fiction, simply because the thought "what if...", when applied to a great many things in the mundane world, can lead to some very interesting ideas. I've also written a couple of historical dramas and a bit of humor here and there, not to mention the erotica (but as this is a family oriented site we won't go into that too much.) To date I've authored more than a dozen novels, dealing with subjects as diverse as evolution, time travel, superheroes, magic and monsters. And I always seem to have some new concept pop up while I'm working on something else, so I doubt I'll stop writing any time soon. I sincerely hope you find things I've written to be, at the very least, entertaining. Feel free to express your opinions of my work. After all, I couldn't stop you if I tried. And as the one spending time and concentration (not to mention money) on such things, you are what really matters. And yes, that was naked sucking up. So sue me.
