Jonathon Cain grew up in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. He began drawing the day he could pick up a pencil and discovered his love of writing in middle school. Since then, it has been his lifelong dream to write and illustrate his own novels. He received a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
