Joseph Lamere is a lifelong pulp fan. His first stories were about Sherlock Holmes Jr. (His mother still has them in a box somewhere; ask her). At eight years old he discovered Doc Savage in a used book store. He has never really grown up since then. To his dismay Lamere was sidetracked in the eighties by a stint in a hair metal band. He would like to say he spent the nineties in an absinthe haze but that would be myth-making. He lives with his beautiful wife Emily and his two equally beautiful daughters, Ella and Sofia. They don't seem to mind that Daddy spends an inordinate amount of time in the basement, clacking away on the laptop and trying to keep pace with the shadowy conspirators with whom he collaborates. Lamere writes every day. In the old days he used to write on a legal pad and a hand-me-down Olivetti typewriter; his children don't know what a typewriter is. When he tries to tell them they just shake their heads and laugh. They do that a lot. Lamere's love affair with pulp coalesces with Diogenes Ra, a pulp/comics/movie fanboy half-fiction on his father's side. Diogenes Ra makes his living pulling fictional characters into our world. A rogues' gallery of slinky dames and lantern-jawed tough guys round out Ra's Dramatis Personae. Diogenes Ra travels between this world and the world of fiction, trying not to lose his way. Lamere lives and writes in Illinois.
