Joseph Paul Wright(or just Joe) is an author, journalist, educator, and advocate residing in southern Arizona near the US/Mexico border. His work in fiction (so far) consists of 4 novels, 3 collections of short stories, and 1 interactive children's book. As a journalist and advocate Joe has worked for over a decade covering important topics such as immigration, mental health, abuse of power, government spending, racism, public policy, and more. Joe has also developed and runs an adaptive youth education and literacy program called "The Art of Storytelling" in which students work to discover the storyteller within through hands-on activities that explore storytelling in all its forms throughout history from cave painting to TikTok while opening them up to various and broader perspectives through empathy. Mostly, though, it's about gaining a love and appreciation for storytelling while having a lot of fun. He enjoys using his experience as an author to help unpublished and under-published authors navigate the difficulties that come with book publishing and marketing.
