JayceePEE, aka Josette Cole-Pinnix was born in the eighties, in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa. She is an independent gospel singer and songwriter, skilled in diverse genres of music and has performed in various countries, languages, choirs, and venues, including churches, stages, weddings, funerals, stadiums, social events and live shows, both virtually and in person. She started her music career at 8 years old when she wrote songs for churches and led several singing groups and choirs. She gave her life to Christ in high school shortly after she lost her mum at 17 years old and made a full commitment to serve the Lord when she miraculously received a scholarship to further her studies in engineering, whilst working part time as a radio broadcaster at BBN FM 93.0. She would later perfect her editing and producing skills at that station, where she aired numerous shows for young people, conducted interviews, and served as news reader and reporter. She was also introduced to the studio booth early in life as she was often called upon to sing back up for numerous local gospel artists. It was during her late night duties at the gospel station, playing contemporary gospel (which was a new wave in the Christian community back then) that she grew her love for gospel music and her desire to sing diverse styles of music as she trained her high pitched soprano voice to harmonize and lead songs from notable musical icons, Cece Winans, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, Tamela Mann, Mary Mary, Kurt Carr, Isreal Houghton, Don Meon and Trin-i-tee. She graduated from the University with a Mechanical Engineering degree amid many trials and tribulations, including the death of her mum, brother, grandma and after reconciliation with her dad she lost him as well. She fell in love in her final year in college and married Mohamed Tejan-Cole and they were blessed with two kids. They both were very active members and leaders of their local church and after eight years of marriage, Mohamed developed a heart disease and passed away in June 2015 from a sudden heart attack. JayceePEE would later pour her soul into her music and faith as she served faithfully in various churches, fighting against depression as she grieved the loss of her husband, taking care of their 4year old son and a 4month old baby girl alone; She continued to persevere as an immigrant and a full time graduate student in a foreign country and eventually graduated with a masters degree in Industrial Engineering even as she continues to endure tons of challenges. Josette now owns a tech startup based in Tulsa remarried Todd Pinnix. During the 2020 pandemic, she received the call of God to pen down all the songs she had been given by God, compile it and share it to the world. She did just that and has now released 4 albums and continues to make melody to the Lord essentially to win the world back to God and give back to the sick, homeless, orphans, battered women and support girls in the STEM fields.
