Juan Carlos Torres is a Colombian author and spiritual explorer who describes himself as “a traveler of the soul and an inquirer into the mysteries of the universe.” With a law degree and a specialization in international relations, he has played key roles in Colombian public life, including serving as director of presidential speechwriting for two Colombian presidents and as a counselor at the Colombian Embassy in the United States. He is the recipient of the First Fernando Soto Aparicio National Short Story Award and a finalist in several national and international literary contests. His published works include the poetry collection Sueño y Eternidad, as well as Operación Jaque: La Verdadera Historia, released in Spain and Latin America and translated into French and Portuguese. He also authored El Gran Libro del Bicentenario and co-wrote Una Conversación Pendiente with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Juan Manuel Santos. In his most recent book, I AM OWL: A Journey of Knowledge, Torres blends personal memoir with spiritual inquiry. Through vivid storytelling, he brings to light the transformative power of ancestral sacred medicines and invites readers into a deeper reflection on consciousness, healing, and the interconnectedness of all life. His work seeks to bridge worlds—between reason and mystery, history and spirit, the outer path and the inner Self.
