Judith S. MacNutt is President of Christian Healing Ministries and a licensed psychotherapist in Florida. She holds a Master’s degree in psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. Upon graduation, Judith moved to Boston, where she worked as a clinical psychologist at several area hospitals. She soon discovered, as she worked with disturbed patients, that psychological therapy alone was inadequate to meet the needs of suffering people. As she began to quietly pray for her patients, she saw immediate results: they changed in remarkable ways and often were able to leave the hospital permanently. In 1974, Judith moved to Jerusalem, where the Southern Baptist Church offered her a ministry site that became a center for prayer. Judith combined psychotherapy and prayer to both Jews and Arabs at the center. In 1977, she returned to the U.S. and opened a private practice in Clearwater, Florida, providing both prayer ministry and professional counseling to members of the Christian community. Judith first met Francis MacNutt briefly in Jerusalem in 1975. Two years later, providentially, they met again at a retreat center in Staten Island, New York. They married in 1980 and founded Christian Healing Ministries that same year (in Clearwater, Florida). Judith and Francis moved Christian Healing Ministries to Jacksonville, Florida, in 1987. Judith has traveled worldwide speaking to diverse audiences about healing prayer and the ministry of angels. She and Francis have traveled throughout the U.S. and to over 30 countries combined. Following the births of their two children, Rachel and David, she (with Francis) co-authored Praying for Your Unborn Child in 1988. Find more at www.christianhealingmin.org
